/ AKTES
AKTES (ACADEMY FOR ARTS)
AKTES (Pocket Academy for Arts) is a socio-cultural project designed for small insular areas.
The project supports:
A: childrens' participation in community life and development (active citizenship),
B: small municipalities with innovative participatory tools for sustainable cultural development and
C: artists to travel and connect with small communities of the Aegean Sea.
AKTES use artistic experimentation as a tool in order for the children to collaborate with the artist and co-create an artistic work that is related to a strategic area of development of each island (for example tourism, culture, environment, etc).
AKTES was designed by the non-profit organizations COMM’ON and Cultópiα in 2019 and (almost) every year is implemented by COMM'ON in collaboration with the local Municipality, the local school and with the support of public and private stakeholders.
